In short:

French defence and technology firm Thales is facing an Anglo-French probe over bribery and corruption allegations concerning "a contract in Asia".

Thales said it "denies the allegations brought to its knowledge", and was working with authorities on the matter.

The company previously faced an Australian audit that found evidence of "unethical conduct" involving a 10-year contract for Thales to run two Commonwealth munitions facilities.
